Where exactly does the meeting for the Bosco Trek take place?

The activation point is St. Peter's Square (Caltagirone). The meeting includes a breakfast with coffee and artisan brioche before the ascent towards the Querce Madri.

What does the Bosco Trek fee include?

The protocol includes the welcome breakfast, a 180-minute guided hike, a regenerative picnic with stuffed rice dumplings with meat sauce, and a tasting of the Century Oak in its habitat.

Is there a shuttle service?

No. The protocol requires 'Self-Drive': participants must be autonomous to manage travel between the different nodes of the Natura 2000 Reserve.

Does experience unlock the Backlog Skip?

Yes. At the end of the trek, each participant has the right to immediately purchase the products available in local stock, skipping the global backlog queue entirely.

Can I see the Mother Oak during the forest trek?

Yes, it is part of the guided route in which we will visit the main monumental oaks of the Bosco di Santo Pietro and the GPS monitoring sites.

How difficult is the route?

The route is classified as T (Tourist) / E (Easy hiking). It develops on beaten paths with moderate slopes, accessible to anyone in normal physical condition.

In which months is the Bosco Trek protocol active?

From April to November. During the winter months (December-March) the experience is suspended to protect the integrity of the paths and the health of the new shoots.

What happens if it rains on the day of the excursion?

The protocol provides for the automatic postponement to the following Sunday or the issuing of an 'Experience Credit' valid for 12 months on your OakID.

Is specific clothing necessary?

Yes. Trekking shoes or boots with sculpted soles are mandatory. We recommend layered clothing to manage the temperature range of the reserve.

Can dogs be brought on the trek?

Yes, as long as they are kept on a leash in compliance with the wildlife of the Natura 2000 Reserve and the sensitivity of the other participants.

What is the Ancient Oak Rite?

It is the moment of the pinnacle of the excursion: the visit to the longest-lived specimen in the reserve, where the genetics of which we maintain the integrity for future generations are analyzed.

Can children participate?

Yes. Children under 12 have access at a reduced rate, actively participating in the explanation of PLA 3D technology and forest regeneration.

What do you eat during the regenerative picnic?

The 'Picnic Dossier' menu includes handcrafted Caltagirone-style stuffed rice dumplings, quick ricotta cannoli, and an outdoor tasting of Century Oak.

How many Oaken does participation generate?

The experience is Off-Chain, but purchases made via Backlog Skip at the end of the trek generate standard rewards in your Vault.

What is the maximum number of participants?

Minimum 5, maximum 20 to guarantee the necessary silence and enjoy the sensorial immersion in the woods.

Do I receive the GPS coordinates immediately after booking?

Yes. The exact coordinates of the meeting point in the square are sent in the block validation confirmation email.

Do you also visit the Atelier during the trek?

No. The Bosco Trek is biologically source focused. The technical visit to the Atelier in Via D. Tempio is a separate module (Tasting in the Factory).

Can I collect acorns while walking?

No. The harvest is regulated and reserved for the Rite of November 15th so as not to alter the natural germination balance of the reserve.

Is water provided during the route?

Yes, each participant receives a bottle of mineral water to maintain the water balance necessary for the final tasting.

Is there a digital badge for those who complete the trek?

No, but the OakID is updated with the right of first priority to purchase local stock at the end of the route.
